The personal data we collect

Information you give us - your name and email address when you subscribe, download a resource, or get in touch, and anything else you choose to send us.

Information we collect automatically - how you interact with our websites and emails (such as pages viewed, resources downloaded, videos watched, and emails opened or clicked), together with technical data such as your IP address, approximate location, and device and browser type. We use this to understand what content is useful and to tailor what we send you.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies. Some are strictly necessary for the site to work and don't require consent. Others are non-essential - they help us recognise you and understand engagement. We only set non-essential cookies, and only begin engagement tracking, after you consent, which you can change at any time.

Why we use your data, and our lawful basis

• To send you the content and updates you've asked for - your consent.
• To set non-essential cookies and understand engagement so we can improve and tailor our content - your consent.
• To provide any paid course or service you buy - performance of a contract (note: paid courses are currently run through a third-party course platform, which handles your account and payment data under its own privacy policy).
• To respond to your enquiries - our legitimate interests in helping you.
• For security and to produce aggregated, non-identifying analytics - our legitimate interests (we have carried out a balancing assessment, held on file).
• To meet our legal obligations - legal obligation.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing carried out beforehand.

Marketing emails

When you join our list we use a confirmed (double) opt-in: you tick a clear, unticked box, and we only begin sending once you confirm via a link we email you. We keep a record of that consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We use a small number of trusted service providers who act only on our instructions and under a data processing agreement. They fall into these categories:

• website hosting and IT services;
• email delivery and communication services;
• video hosting and online meeting services;
• payment processing (handled via our third-party course platform);
• analytics and service providers that help us understand engagement.

Each only processes the data needed for its task. We may also disclose personal data where required by law, or to a buyer in the event of a sale or reorganisation of our business.

International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we ensure an appropriate safeguard is in place - such as a UK adequacy regulation, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep your data

• Contact and mailing-list data - while you remain subscribed, and for up to 24 months after your last engagement, after which we delete or re-confirm.
• Engagement data - for up to 24 months, after which it is deleted or aggregated into non-identifying form.
• Records of paid services - as required to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

How we protect your data

Your data is stored securely within our hosting environment in the UK/EEA, with access limited to those who need it. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep it safe.

Your rights

You have the right to: be informed; access your data; correct it; have it erased; object to its processing (including direct marketing and any related profiling); restrict processing; obtain a portable copy; and not be subject to solely automated decisions with significant effects.

To exercise any of these - including to opt out of marketing or profiling - use the contact form on our website, or email info@learndatainsights.com. You can also manage your email preferences or unsubscribe at any time using the links in any email we send you. There is no charge, and we will respond within one month. We may ask you to verify your identity first.

Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw consent or unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email, your cookie settings, or by contacting us. This won't delete records we are required to keep.

Third-party links

Our sites and emails may link to external sites and services (for example social media or video platforms). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites - please review their own privacy policies.

Children

Our content is intended for professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
